on the date and time it takes place.

Born in New York, but raised in Florida, Lynne Koplitz never lost her Long Island bite. After graduating from Troy University in 1992 with a degree in Theatre Arts and receiving a masters in Education Language Arts, Lynne began following her passion into comedy. Since that day, she has experienced a whirlwind of success on both stage and television.

Lynne became the first woman since Roseanne Barr to sign a development deal with legendary producer Tom Werner at Warner Brothers.

On television, Lynne was a regular on Joan and Melissa: Joan Knows Best. She also starred on the IFC cult favorite Z Rock. Lynne has been featured on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn, Comedy Knockout, and had her own special; Comedy Central Presents Lynne Koplitz.

Koplitz can be heard co-hosting the radio show Star Talk with legendary astrophysicist Dr. Neil deGrasse Tyson and seen as a panelist on the History Channel’s History of the Joke hosted by Lewis Black. Lynne is also a featured comedian in Jenny McCarthy’s Epix comedy special “Dirty, Sexy, Funny," and her 2016 Netflix special "Hormonal Beast" is getting rave reviews! She is one of the most respected comedians in New York, and has recently opened for both Chris Rock and Louie CK.

                      December 3, 2020 @ 7:00pm The Symphonia

To help combat the devastating blow the pandemic has dealt to visual artists in our community, The Symphonia, South Florida’s premier chamber music orchestra, has partnered with regional artists, two local galleries and area businesses to create ‘Symphonia of HEARTs,’ a virtual performance and art auction event taking place on Thursday, December 3 at 7 p.m.

The free, online event will feature performances by the orchestra’s talented musicians; a live, fine art auction facilitated by well-known auctioneer, Janice Hamilton; and a chance to [virtually] meet some of the featured artists. A silent auction will also debut on November 19, remaining live through the conclusion of the December 3 event. Proceeds from the auctions will help keep the heart of The Symphonia – its educational programs, community outreach and, of course, its music – beating, while highlighting and benefiting local artists.

In addition to several regional artists whose works will be featured, The Gallery Lounge by Salvatore Principe and other local galleries have partnered with The Symphonia to auction a number of works by local and regional artists from their collections. A Master’s Collection including works by Pablo Picasso, Salvador Dali, Marc Chagall, Joan Miro and Peter Max, as well as many contemporary artists, will also be available for purchase.

Local artists are invited to contribute one item for the silent and/or live auction and submit up to five additional items on consignment with minimum bid proceeds going directly to the artist. In addition, area restaurants, hotels, spas and other ‘experiential’ type businesses are invited to donate items for the cause.

Just in time for the holidays, the virtual silent and live auctions will also provide a way for guests to support local artists while giving friends, family and loved ones a one-of-a-kind item, hand-crafted with heart.

It all started when Chain Reaction banded together in South Florida and began recreating the sounds of the American super group, Journey. They wanted to pay special homage to Journey's best years (1977-1998), when Steve Perry fronted the band.

The amazing voice of John D’Agostino, coupled with the exceptional musical talents of four equally sophisticated and experienced musicians, soon propelled Chain Reaction to become one of the premier Journey reverence bands of our time. The band strives to recreate the exact sounds and nuances of Journey. Their passion for authenticity and attention to detail go a long way toward ensuring that the audience feels like they’re at a real Journey concert.

While the band has enjoyed performing the music of Journey, front man John D’Agostino also loves another American super group, Styx. Turns out, the rest of the band are huge Styx fans, too. So they began adding some of Styx's best tunes to their already expansive repertoire of Journey material.

The audience response was so positive, that Forever Styx was eventually added as a separate tribute band. Now you can have the best of both worlds inside THE BOX this December!
